Financial Controller


15ten15 are recruiting on behalf of a privately owned business based in Sheffield for a Financial Controller.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • To ensure the effective operation of the finance function
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including weekly purchase ledger payment run
  • Overseeing the credit control and payroll department and assisting when needed
  • Ownership of the purchase ledger including processing supplier invoices and payments to suppliers
  • Monthly bank and sales reconciliations
  • Preparation of weekly cash flow reports and reporting differences to management
  • Help in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Processing of any bank payments
  • Daily review of bank
  • Preparation of year-end accounts with supporting schedules for auditors and liaise with the auditors where necessary
  • Annual P11d submission
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Prepare annual budgets
  • Review performance of the monthly management information and liaise with heads of departments
  • Review weekly staff statistics V staff budget and take action with management if needed
  • Review and monitor supplier costs and improve viability where possible
  • Any other duties as required by Managing Director



Core requirements (Must haves)

  • Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
  • Experience of working in a SME environment
  • Hold a current driving licence and own a car

In addition, the successful candidate must have good Excel skills and be able to manipulate data quickly and efficiently.

Candidates must also undergo a full DBS check if successful.
